Everyone at Bucks New University genuinely wants you to succeed in life. We’ll support you all the way, from your application and choices through to your search for a career. We have over 300 employment-oriented courses with excellent industry contacts.
We are a friendly community, with its headquarters and Bucks campus in the modern and expanding market town of High Wycombe and a West London campus in Uxbridge, catering for nursing and health-related courses. High Wycombe is a place with masses of attractions and activities for you to explore, but also somewhere you can really feel at home.
Facilities
At Bucks, our specialist facilities include video production suites, sports performance laboratories, state-of-the-art music studios, crafts workshops, engineering workshops, CAD/CAM facilities, computer labs and medical equipment.
For general study, we have libraries complete with computer clusters, open until late every day of the week. You’ll also benefit from Blackboard, an e-learning software platform that allows you to customise your approach to studying.
Your course tutors will use Blackboard to post course notes, while you’ll be able to use it to exchange ideas with fellow students at any time of the day or night. With the reconstruction and refurbishment of our High Wycombe Campus and brand new facilities at our Uxbridge Campus, Bucks will have even more to boast about. But by far the most important feature of our University is not the buildings or the equipment – it’s the people who work to ensure that you gain everything you possibly can do from your course.
Support
When you’re a Bucks student, the whole university is lined up to help you with your academic work and make sure that university works for you. We know that being away from home and starting a new stage of your life isn’t always easy. Because we understand the issues involved in being at university, we go to great lengths to make life easier and better for you.
One of the great things about life at Bucks is the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds in an atmosphere where multicultural diversity is valued. You will find us totally committed to ensuring that you have every opportunity to flourish here, regardless of your sex, sexual orientation, race, age or ability.
