Study

Facilities
At Glasgow Caledonian, we are proud to have one of the most modern and student-focused campuses in the UK. With all of our excellent facilities situated within our single site campus everything is close at hand.
The hub of the campus is the striking Saltire Centre. The first university building of its kind, the Saltire Centre integrates all learning facilities and student services: library, study spaces, extensive student support services and a learning cafe. The five-floor facility offers students:

• 600-seat learning cafe
• 500 computers
• Laptop borrowing facility
• Free Wi-Fi
Innovative teaching facilities -- such as the virtual hospital, fashion factory, and radio and TV studios -- add to the learning experience. Other available facilities include the refectory and learning cafes, Careers Service and substantial computer labs across the campus.
If you are interested in sports and fitness, our state-of-the-art Arc fitness centre is a place where everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, body shape or previous exercise experience, can look after their health and get fit in a comfortable environment. You can even bring non-student friends or family along to keep you company.
The Arc's cheap student rates help keep your bank account in shape, too. You can pay as you go or buy a low cost gym and sports membership package that gives you membership of Arc as well as all the different Students' Association sports clubs and activities.

Your student years really can be the best years of your life. Student life offers so much more than getting an education - there is the social life, the opportunity to discover new sports and other interests, and the chance to meet new people from all over the world.
Campus Life
If you are new to university, getting used to your studies and to university life can take a bit of adjustment. During your degree, your timetable will be made up of a combination of lectures, seminars, labs and practical work, as well as independent study.
While the pace and intensity of university learning is different from school, you will receive a great deal of encouragement, support and guidance throughout your studies.
