We're running an open day on Tuesday 19 August 2014 for people interested in applying for undergraduate and PGCE courses starting this year, or who have already applied through clearing. There will be exhibition areas where you can meet our staff and students, and tours of our campuses and Sheffield city centre. It's also a chance to speak to lecturers and students from all undergraduate subject areas, except health and social care. If you apply for a health or social care course starting this year, you will be invited to a separate interview day.

94% of our students are in work or further study six months after graduating (Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education survey 2016/17). Every course has a dedicated employability adviser and our careers support has 95% student satisfaction (Life@Sheffield Hallam Survey 2018). Sheffield Hallam received an overall student satisfaction rating of 86% in the 2019 National Student Survey results, which places us in the top 30 universities in the country for student satisfaction.
Sheffield Hallam Student’s Union has over 30 sports clubs and more than 100 societies for you to be part of. So whether you want to compete at the highest sporting level or just join in with a fun society there’s something for everyone.
Teaching quality
Sheffield Hallam University has also been awarded the University of the Year for Teaching Quality in The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020 edtion. We have also achieved a silver award from the government's Teaching Excellence Framework and five stars in the QS Star rating, with top marks in the categories of teaching, employability, facilities, innovation and inclusiveness.
