Come and say hello at our Open Day

Come along to our Postgraduate Open Day on 18 March 2019 to gather information from our staff and students about being part of our warm and welcoming postgraduate community. We have a wide range of courses to study at Essex, from Masters degrees to PhDs. Discover all the opportunities that will be available to you as a postgraduate student at Essex by attending our Postgraduate Open Day!

We're open from 3.45pm to 7pm, and are based in The Hex at our Colchester Campus.

You'll have the chance to speak to members of staff from our academic departments about Masters degrees, research opportunities and much more. You'll also be able to chat with our student services, attend a welcome talk, find out information about postgraduate student finance, and attend an interactive talk with a panel our academic experts on their ground-breaking research.

We'll be serving prosecco and canapes in our main venue, The Hex, as well as tea, coffee and cake at our departmental stands. So this is definitely shaping up to be an event you will not want to miss!

Here's a simple outline of the day, so you can plan when you'll come:

• 3.45pm: the Open Day starts - you'll need to either check in or register
• 3.45-5.30pm: student services stands available - chat with members of staff about finance, accommodation, student support etc
• 4.15pm: Welcome Talk, with drinks and canapes - learn more about studying at Essex
• 4.30pm: Finance Talk - find out more about funding your postgraduate course
• 5.00-5.30pm: Research Talks - discover some of our ground-breaking research
• 5.30-7.00pm: academic department stands available - chat with members of staff about courses and research
• 6.00pm: Essex Business School talk about the Essex MBA - useful if you are interested in studying for an MBA. This talk will be in room EBS 2.1 at our Essex Business School. 
• 6.00pm: Health and Social Care talk and tour of our facilities - useful for people thinking of applying for adult nursing, mental health nursing, occupational therapy, and speech and language therapy. This talk will be in room TC1.13 in our Tony Rich Teaching Centre.
• 7.00pm: the Open Day ends

Use our online booking form to register, then just come along during the evening and we'll check you in when you arrive.

Parking will be free, so if you're travelling by car, aim to park in our Valley Car Park on the south-side of campus. Check out our web page about how to get to our Colchester Campus.
