Open Day dates 2024

Our Open Days run from 10.30am-3pm. They’re all in-person events at our cutting-edge campuses in the heart of the beautiful city of Hereford. Visiting us in person means you can experience the NMITE Difference first-hand.

NMITE Travel Fund

The NMITE Travel Fund supports eligible individuals with up to £50 towards the cost of their travel to one of our Open Days. Why do we offer this? Because we’re committed to giving individuals who want to achieve a degree equal opportunities to do so. Simply check out the eligibility criteria below.  

Eligibility criteria

  • Eligible for Free School Meals OR Pupil Premium within the last 5 years.
  • Individuals currently in local authority care (‘looked after’) and students who have previously been in local authority care (‘care experienced’). 
  • Young carers and young adult carers. Young carers have unpaid caring responsibilities for a family member with any type of illness, disability, or addiction, who cannot manage without the young carer's support. 
  • Estranged individuals. Individuals who are irreconcilably estranged from their parents, meaning that they have not had verbal or written contact with any living biological or adoptive parents for a significant period, and this will not change. 
  • Individuals from Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller communities. 
  • Refugees or sanctuary seekers. 
  • Mature individuals, defined as prospective students aged 21 and over, with no previous university experience. 
  • Individuals with a disability or specific learning difficulty as defined by UCAS 
  • Travel Fund eligibility is also subject to these Terms and Conditions 

Making an application

Simply contact us for an application form at: studentsupport@nmite.ac.uk You’ll need to evidence your eligibility criteria and travel costs; and you have up until one week after the event to submit your application.
