Throughout the afternoon you will: •Have the opportunity to meet our academic staff who will provide you with lots of information about the course and how it runs in Portsmouth, as well as share top tips for your application form •?Meet a member of our administrative staff who can answer any questions about entry requirements and the application process •?Speak to our current students and look around our newly refurbished learning facilities and practice skills labs The afternoon will end with an informal chat and an opportunity to ask your questions. Whats next? Once you have booked your place, you will receive an email confirming your booking. Nearer the time, we’ll send you more detailed information about the programme for the day, as well as telling you more about parking and how to reach our campuses.

Placements

We believe placements significantly increase your employability, and at BU every undergraduate student has the opportunity to undertake a placement as part of their course.

In the past our students have worked for a wide range of large international companies, as well as smaller family-run firms, including: Disney, BBC, Sky, IBM, Panasonic, Chelsea Football Club, Olympic Developments Committee, Framestore Animation and many more.

Scholarships and bursaries

We offer a range of scholarships recognising academic, sporting and musical excellence, including an unlimited number of Academic Excellence scholarships worth £1,000 if you achieve ABB at A-level or DDM at BTEC*. Students’ Union

In order to help us deliver a great student experience, the Students’ Union (SUBU) has over 100 clubs and societies, its own nightclub and offers numerous volunteering opportunities. SUBU also provides a voice for BU students and has 750 trained student representatives. We know that SUBU plays a major role in creating the BU buzz.

Postgraduate study

If you’re thinking about postgraduate study, a Master’s from BU could be the right choice for you. Combining world-class teaching, industry-standard facilities and a beautiful location on the south coast, BU also has an unlimited number of Academic Scholarships offering UK/EU students a £2,000 fee reduction*.

If you have an upper second-class honours (2:1) or above from a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and apply for a Master’s degree, we’ll automatically award you with this scholarship.
