Lancaster University

Lancaster University is among the best in the UK. Top 15 in three major national league tables, Lancaster is also highly ranked in international league tables such as the QS World Rankings.

Out of over 120 UK Universities, Lancaster is placed 11th by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2022, 11th by the Complete University Guide 2022, and 13th by The Guardian University Guide 2021. Lancaster is also climbing in the world rankings currently 132nd out of more than 1,000 universities in the QS World Rankings 2022.

The Lancaster University campus in North-West England occupies a beautiful 560-acre green site, just three miles from Lancaster City Centre. Across the campus, the university offers exceptional learning facilities, from the labs and lecture theatres in faculties, to the multi-million pound sports centre and outstanding library facilities. Most new undergraduates choose to live on campus in their first year. The campus itself has an array of facilities including shops, restaurants, coffee shops and hairdressers. A short bus ride takes you into Lancaster. A place compact enough to walk around as well as offering everything you would expect from a modern city, with plenty to see and do, from busy shops and a vibrant nightlife to cultural attractions and beautiful parks.

Lancaster is one of only a small number of leading UK universities to operate a college structure. All students (and staff) join one of the nine colleges. Each college has its own history and traditions, creating a more supportive student environment and opportunities to get involved in a wide range of activities.

Students leave Lancaster University with much more than a degree. You will have experiences, skills and a good idea of where you're heading. There will be opportunities for placement years, trips abroad, part-time work, internships and specialist careers support at Lancaster University.
