At London Metropolitan University, we support your desire to study the subject you love. You’ll have access to a world-class education, opportunities for work experience, and a diverse and welcoming environment where you can make incredible lifelong friendships.
When it comes to teaching excellence, London Met outperformed all five London Russell Group universities – UCL, King’s College London, Queen Mary, Imperial College London and the London School of Economics – in the Sunday Times Good University Guide.
This is partly down to our proportion of qualified teaching staff being much higher than the UK sector average, ensuring many of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses are run by employers and professionals.
You’ll also have access to work-related learning modules as well as volunteering opportunities, networking events and free careers advice. This support helped 93% of our graduates into employment or further study six months after finishing their degree in 2014–15 – the biggest increase in graduate employment over two years by any university in the country.
In 2017, the Times Higher Education Young University Rankings rated us among the top 20 millennial universities in the world – and the best in the UK. We constantly review and update our services, and are now investing £125 million into our Holloway campus to ensure our students continue to have the best possible facilities available to them.
As a London Met student, you’ll have a huge range of world-class facilities at your fingertips. As well as our well-equipped libraries, IT suites and classrooms, we have a £30 million Science Centre – the largest science teaching lab in Europe – TV and recording studios, a mock courtroom, rooms equipped with Bloomberg terminals, purpose-built art and design studios, and a £100,000 journalism newsroom.
Our Holloway campus sits on what Time Out magazine has called “The only road in the country where you can eat in an Ecuadorian-Bolivian restaurant and buy a made-to-measure 40s-style wiggle dress”, which offers a hive of activity between lectures. Our business and law courses are currently taught at our Moorgate campus and our art, architecture and design courses are based at our Aldgate campus by 2020 all our courses will be taught in Holloway, allowing all of our students to study together in one place with outstanding new facilities.
We’ve been ranked ninth out of all the universities in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand for diversity by Hotcourses Abroad. No matter what your age or background, we encourage you to join us and we’ll ensure you have the best possible university experience. Most of our courses can also be studied either full-time or part-time to fit around your lifestyle.
We’ll support you every step of the way, from the moment you enquire to the years after graduation. Why not pay us a visit? You can come to an open day, tour our campuses, get help with your university or student finance application and much more.
