In recent years UCLan has invested over £100 million on teaching and learning facilities. In fact, our library, the true heartbeat of the University, is consistently ranked in the UK’s top ten for student satisfaction while our sporting facilities, both indoor and outdoor, are venues of such high standards that they regularly act as training settings for athletes of a world-class and Olympic standard. You’ll also benefit from work-related internships, award-winning volunteering schemes, international travel bursaries, dedicated career development advice and wide ranging cultural, sports and leisure programmes, as well as a wide range of degree programmes designed to enhance your career prospects.
Where are we?
UCLan is located in Preston in the North West of England, a rich and culturally diverse place to study, as well as being one of the UK's most reasonably-priced places to live.
It is a buzzing, vibrant cosmopolitan city, with a wide range of shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance of the campus. Good transport links mean the city is ideally placed for national and international travel:
it is three hours from London by rail, one hour from Manchester International Airport, 20 minutes from the coast and one hour from the beautiful scenery of the Lake District.
Our student support is second to none and includes a student information centre, the 'i', to help with areas such as careers, counselling, financial or academic advice.
