Profile

Overview

We’re proud to be known as a friendly university with a close-knit community. But we’re so much more than that. We welcomed our first students more than 90 years ago, and we've been evolving ever since to create an extraordinary environment that develops our students’ talents. There’s only one university that can claim to be the Official University Partner of Team GB so we’re not the only ones to notice. We invest in our campus and add innovative facilities. And we're a source of award-winning research and dynamic, employable graduates.

Official Team GB partners

Did you know that the University of Hull is the official University Partner of Team GB? Extraordinary is in you – and we’ll help you find it. This is what our partnership with Team GB is built on. Our united belief is that anyone, with the right opportunities ahead and a dedicated team behind, can achieve extraordinary things.

What does this mean for you? Whether you’re studying sports science, or marketing, or logistics, or healthcare, or engineering, we’re working with Team GB to create opportunities for internships, on-campus talks and events and so much more. It’s an extraordinary partnership, and you won’t find it anywhere else.

We may well have a cash award waiting for you.
At the University of Hull, we recognise the significant investment – personal and financial – made by you in choosing to go to university. That’s why we offer a number of awards in appreciation of either your academic efforts or personal circumstances.

These include our Attainment Scholarship of £1,200 for joining us with 112 UCAS points, the Merit Scholarship if you join us with 120 points or above, and for students from low-income households, our studentship can offer a boost, too.

Great value for money
Come to Hull for university and you can expect a big experience for a small price. And it's not just us saying that either - Hull is now officially the UK's most affordable city for students, according to NatWest's Student Living Index 2018.

That means your money goes a whole lot further here, with lower rents on average than anywhere else in England - and the cheapest nights out.
