The Paul Hamlyn Library

Simulation Centres & The Richard Wells Research Centre
The centres in Brentford and Reading provide aspiring nurses, midwives and healthcare professionals with an environment that replicates hospital and healthcare settings ensuring students gain the hands-on experience, specialist training and practical skills they need to succeed. Meanwhile, The Richard Wells Research Centre offers students an invaluable resource at the forefront of innovative research.
Professional Development Centre in Law
If you’re studying law, you can attend workshops, seminars and professional development courses run by our Solicitors Regulation Authority-accredited centre.
We’ve built a new mock courtroom to give students studying at our School of Law and Criminology a chance to practise mooting and gain legal experience in a realistic environment.
Boasting a brand new stage and cutting-edge technical equipment, this modern, immersive space brings the wonders of professional performance to our London College of Music students.
Paragon Annex Studios
We’ve invested £1m in the development of the London School of Music’s studio complex, making it one of the biggest in the world. It houses 19 studios, two performance spaces and the world’s largest Rednet installation.
Giving catering students the opportunity to test out their culinary skills alongside our chefs and hospitality experts is FEAST: our student-run, self-service restaurant.
Pillars training restaurant
Students at the London Geller College of Hospitality and Tourism have the chance to put their skills to the test in this fast-paced service environment.
With three new rehearsal rooms, a sprung floor and nearby location, The Questors is familiar to many UWL students. We’ve used their large theatre workshop for our BA Theatre Production course and staged events in the theatres.

The West London Food Innovation Laboratory will help start-ups and small and medium-sized enterprises get ahead in the food and beverage industries. It offers services ranging from product development to nutritional analysis, and means local businesses can keep one step ahead of customer expectations.
The Westmont Innovation Hub will be a platform for our ever-growing number of future entrepreneurs, and encourage collaboration. It will also offer lectures, mentorship and a support network, plus it will become home to the Heathrow Archive and Exhibition.
