Wakefield College

From campuses in Wakefield and Castleford, we’re home to over 8,000 students, of all ages and abilities, studying a broad range of courses, from pre-entry level through to T-Levels, higher education and professional qualifications.

For those aged 16-18, A Level pass rates are consistently above 97% with the majority of A Level and Extended Diploma subjects achieving 100% pass rate. Many of our students continue with us in our University Centre in Wakefield. But it’s not just about the classroom, you have the opportunity to take part in online learning, extracurricular trips, events and volunteering – from completing The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or joining a sports team to becoming a Student Union representative. And valuable work placements are available on many courses.

For those looking at part-time or higher education, you could study in our University Centre and Business School.

We work hard to be at the centre of our local community, delivering what the District needs and students want. Our partnerships with local schools, employers and learning providers transform learning, attainment, achievement and progression across the District, so you can join a broad mix of former pupils from across the region.
