Whether you want the convenience of living on campus, the buzz of city-centre halls or the independence of house-sharing, we have a range of student accommodation to suit your taste and budget. Our Residential Services Team is always on hand to offer help and can help you find the perfect place to live.
If you’re studying with us in Cambridge, you’ll have the option to live in halls or shared houses.
Some of our halls are on campus and our houses are within easy walking distance. Each hall or house is different, as are the social opportunities and surroundings. But one thing’s the same: they’re all kept in great condition by ARU or the organisations that manage them.
In Chelmsford, our Student Village is right next to campus.
The Village is a great place to live: you’ll have the company of other ARU students, plus easy access to local shops and our Students’ Union venue. Our Student Village is within walking distance of Chelmsford city centre and its shops, bars and restaurants. It’s also near the train and bus stations. Our university library, campus shops, launderette, gym, cafes, classrooms and lecture theatres are right on your doorstep.
If you’re studying in Peterborough, University Court provides purpose-built accommodation for your first year and beyond. It's close to both campuses and privately managed by Taverners Hall.
There’s also plenty of private rented accommodation in Peterborough. If you’re studying nursing, midwifery or operating department practice with us in Peterborough, you’ll be able to apply for hospital accommodation.
