Student Life

Student life at Coventry University extends beyond lectures and seminars. The Hub is the centre of activity on campus, as a place to gather, grab a coffee with friends, have a meal or just hang out.

A wide range of societies and sports clubs are on offer, giving students the chance to develop new interests while meeting people with similar passions. The university’s sporting facilities host competitive and recreational activities, so there's always something to get involved with.

University Facilities

Coventry University encourages students to learn by doing through real projects, simulations and opportunities to develop the skills employers value. That's why many of its facilities are designed to replicate real-world environments, helping students become job-ready.

The university's engineering facilities feature a full-size Harrier jet, wind tunnels and advanced simulation labs, while arts students have creative studios for media, performance and design.

The DigiComm Lab and Trading Floor help students prepare for careers in business and finance, while the Moot Room enables students to develop courtroom and advocacy skills.

Health and care students can experience real-life scenarios in simulated environments, including two community houses, hospital wards, an operating theatre, maternity suite and ambulance.

They can also learn in The CAVE, an immersive virtual reality environment that can recreate healthcare scenarios to practice clinical skills and interact with simulated patients.

Clubs and Societies

With over 125 student societies and sports clubs to choose from, students can try something new or carry on an existing passion. Either way, it’s a great way to meet new people with similar interests.

Student Union

Coventry University’s Students’ Union (Your SU) is run by students for students. From enrolment to graduation, all students have access to a range of events, activities and support. This includes welcome events to help new students settle in as well as ongoing events throughout the year.

Your SU also provides a free, confidential advice service for all students, whilst their elected officers represent the interests of students and make sure their voice is heard on campus.
