
We are committed to conducting research that makes a difference across a range of subject areas. Our staff and students work together in our four research institutes and 11 research centres. From supporting projects that aim to reduce doping in sport to designing approaches that tackle obesity, we aim to identify solutions to a wide range of modern day issues.
We offer more than 150 undergraduate courses across 12 Academic Schools. Each of these schools has a strong sense of community. To further support and develop this, we will be investing £200 million in our estate over the next seven years to create ‘academic homes’ for each of our subject areas:

Entry requirements vary depending on the course you choose to study. For many of our courses, you will need to have studied some specific subjects. This could be a GCSE, A level, BTEC or other equivalent qualification. Some courses will require you to have experience in a relevant field or take part in a selection event, such as an interview or audition, before an offer is made.
