Additional info
This Advice Morning is ideal for students looking to undertake one of our Higher Education (Degree), Further Education (School Leaver), 14-16, Work Based Learning (Apprenticeships) or Short Courses.
You only need to register the student interested.
Due to Covid restrictions, we will be implementing one or two changes to how we have previously done an on-site Advice Morning.
To restrict numbers on campus can we request that you only bring three people per family/household to the event (where possible).
We will do our best to implement social distancing where possible on campus and face masks will be recommended in enclosed indoor areas. Hand sanitiser will be available across the campus.
Upon arrival, follow the signs to our Richmonds Restaurant where members of the Myerscough team will be on hand to meet you and tell you what happens next. Refreshments will be available.
The individual subject talks include presentations, ‘question and answer’ sessions and often departmental tours. These focus on the courses, facilities and careers progression within that subject area. These will happen three times throughout the morning at 10.15am, 11am and 11.45am so please aim to arrive in good time for one of these.
Please note our Veterinary Nursing Talks last a full hour (to cover both Further Education and Higher Education routes) so there will only be two of these during the morning at 10.15am and 11.15am.
Our 14-16 Advisor Lydia will be doing two general talks at 10.15am and 11am.
It will be possible to attend up to three talks if you are interested in more than one subject but we would recommend arriving in time for the first talk to do so.
Support staff from our Admissions, Finance, Accommodation, Apprenticeships and Inclusive Learning teams will be available throughout the morning.
Myerscough College’s Preston Centre is easy to get to, wherever you’re coming from, so you’ll have no trouble in finding us. https://www.ucmyerscough.ac.uk/about/our-centre/preston/
