Sheffield Hallam University teaches more than 500 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. These cover a wide range of subject areas including business, computing, law, psychology, and health and social care.

We promise courses built around action, not just theory. Our courses are designed with industry, so your learning reflects how the workplace actually works.

You’ll have the opportunity to grow in confidence through placements and test your ideas using specialist facilities and equipment you’ll use in the field. Many of our courses are also professionally accredited so your degree is recognised by the professional body for your industry.

You’ll have the opportunity to put your developing skills and knowledge into practice, through work experience opportunities. We have over 1,000 industry connections with global brands and national organisations. Previous students have worked with organisations such as the NHS, IBM, Next and Adidas.

Every student gets comprehensive career coaching and lifelong career support. We help you find sandwich placements, part-time work while you study and graduate roles. At our on-site recruitment agency, Hallam Talent, you’ll be supported with job applications and interviews.

We’ve invested in millions in our facilities, so you’ll learn in the same environment you’ll find in your future workspace. As well as 24-hour libraries and student-designed study areas, the university has one of the largest Sony PlayStation teaching labs in the world, a 12 bed hospital ward for healthcare students and flight simulators to inform aircraft design for engineering students.
