Sheffield Hallam University offers over 600 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across a wide range of subject areas. We're one of the UK's largest providers of health and social care courses, teacher training, and sport and physical activity courses, and also home to one of the UK's oldest established art and design institutions - Sheffield Institute of Arts.
We received an overall student satisfaction rating of 86% in the 2018 National Student Survey results. Nearly 60 of our courses achieved an overall satisfaction of more than 90%, with 14 courses from a range of subject areas scoring 100%.
Students learn in many different ways and are actively encouraged to take a work placement as part of their course. You get 'real life experience' on these placements and the opportunity to put your developing skills and knowledge into practice. Many of our courses are also professionally accredited so your degree is recognised by the professional body for your industry.
As well as 24-hour libraries and study-designed study areas, the university has the largest Sony PlayStation teaching lab in the world, 3D virtual radiotherapy rooms for healthcare students and flight simulators to inform aircraft design for engineering students.
