There is accommodation for more than 1,000 students in the university-owned halls of residence, and UCB offers a service to help students find the best accommodation to suit individual needs.
Main contracts run for 42 weeks, covering September to June, but there are also contracts for Erasmus students, as well as for students undertaking work placements.
The Maltings, in the city centre, is about 15 minutes’ walk from the university. There are 827 purpose-built study bedrooms, 809 of which are en-suite. Five rooms are twins. All rooms are fully furnished, and come with telephone and television points, as well as free Wi-Fi. On site, there are landscaped gardens, a fitness suite, a sports hall and a convenience store. On the ground floor, there are rooms designed for students with special requirements. Weekly rent starts from £107 (2018/19 academic year).
Cambrian Hall is just 150 yards from the main Summer Row site. There is accommodation for 247 students, and the hall is popular with mature and overseas students. Each flat has a kitchen and a dining room, while bathroom facilities are shared between two students. Each room is fully furnished and comes with free Wi-Fi, and telephone and television points.
