Our accommodation offers more than just a room, and our accommodation team is on hand to assist you in many ways, from greeting and making you feel welcome, to planning social events and activities throughout the year, there is always something to do and many ways to meet new people whilst living in halls.
We have more than 1,800 rooms for students studying at our Luton campus. Our new ultra-modern en-suite accommodation, Fitzroy and Wenlock Court, offer fully furnished en-suite flats with spacious kitchen/lounge area, plus great communal areas, including a gym at no extra charge. You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in Village Life and take part in a range of events including BBQs, day trips and movie nights.
The Student Village provides accommodation with a standard shared bathroom and kitchen facilities, social space/lounge and access to 24 hour assistance.
Students at the Bedford campus can opt to live at the Student Village or at Liberty Park, all of which are on campus. The Student Village has 168 rooms from en-suite rooms to budget-saving study rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities. Liberty Park offers 430 en-suite study bedrooms grouped into flats, with good communal areas and an on-site gym.
Accommodation for students studying at the Milton Keynes Campus is available at our neighbouring campus in Bedford. There are also a number of private-rented accommodation options available.

Luton campus developments
New STEM Building
The new STEM building, opening in September 2019, is a £40m building devoted to teaching and research in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects at the Luton campus.
The New Luton Library, is spread over seven floors to provide extra study spaces, additional books and study resources, as well as state-of-the-art IT facilities. Rooms are available to support students for delivering and practising presentations, plus break out spaces to facilitate group working.
Art & Design building, Alexon
The School of Art and Design is situated in what was a 19th Century hat factory. The Alexon building has a history of creative use in millinery and fashion production, and now stands as the gateway to the creative quarter in Luton. Alexon has the feel of a commercial studio and the intimacy of an artist’s garret, and boasts a range of fashion and stop-motion facilities, plus creative spaces and print-making facilities.
Business Pods / Moot Court
Students within the University of Bedfordshire Business School (UBBS) can benefit from a range of professional facilities, including Business Pods which replicate a modern office environment with creative spaces and a boardroom to support students as they work on real briefs for real clients. Law students meanwhile, can gain access to our Moot Court which mimics a real-life Court.
Science students get to work in our refurbished laboratories having access to a wide range of equipment to support scientific investigation. Our Forensic Science students can work within our Scene of Crime lab enabling them to take swabs, dust for fingerprints and learn skills and techniques needed to evaluate a real-life crime scene.
Media students can work at our state-of-the-art Media Arts Centre, offering a wide range of industry-standard equipment including: an HD television studio previously used by the BBC for live broadcasts, a multi-camera TV theatre, self-op studio, edit suites, a fully integrated newsroom and much more.
Bedford campus developments
Opened in 2015 our Gateway building at Bedford has high-quality teaching spaces over three floors. Gateway also offers informal learning spaces, lecture theatres and a student services centre – all you could need, under one roof.
Dance, Performing Arts and Theatre students work within our 280-seat professional theatre – one of the largest in the county. Also available is a dressing room space, video projection equipment, as well as fluid lighting structures to support both conventional and experimental theatre performance.
PE & Sport Science Centre
The PE and Sport Science Centre, which was used to train athletes for the 2012 Olympic Games, includes state-of-the-art teaching and research labs, a national standard sport arena, and a fully equipped modern fitness suite. All this provides a range of teaching spaces to support lectures, seminars and practical sessions.
