They deliver a large variety of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees and with around 11,000 students, the university has small class-sizes allowing for optimum learning.
Bolton has strong industry links, and many of the courses carry professionally accreditation to organisations like Chartered Institutes, the British Psychological Society and the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Schools
The university has nine academic schools offering undergraduate qualifications in a wide variety of subject areas.
The university offers a variety of options to suit the needs of their students, with many of their courses providing a foundation route for students who do not meet the entry criteria for the three-year degree.
Bolton also offers intakes in January for a large majority of their courses, meaning students who have missed the September deadline or wanted to start later in the academic year are able to do so.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for the courses differ, so checking the university website (www.bolton.ac.uk) is always advised. The majority of our three-year degree courses will require between 96 and 112 UCAS points, but some courses may carry a higher entry tariff. Some courses will also require specific subjects at A-Level or BTEC (or equivalent Level 3), which may include Math’s, Science or Art.
The entry requirements for the foundation entry degree programmes are lower and are usually set at 48 UCAS points, allowing for students to apply who have not met the criteria for the three-year route.
