Our Open Days give you the opportunity for you to explore our beautiful campuses each with their own unique characteristics and excellent facilities. Our Ambleside campus is home to the Institute of Science and Environment, and our Institute of Arts for our MA in Literature. Enjoy outdoor practical activities and facility tours, as well as talks and campus and accommodation tours.
During the day our expert academic staff will be running subject talks where you can get a real flavour of the course and see how passionate and enthusiastic our tutors are about their specialist subject. Our academics will be on hand after these sessions to answer any questions you may have about your course of interest.
In addition, we will be running a series of optional workshops throughout the day where you can find out information about the application process, accommodation, fees and finance and student support.
Nestled in the heart of The Lake District National Park, our Ambleside Open Day is unlike any other. As the only university campus in the UK located in a UNESCO World Heritage site, we offer a unique experience showcasing our outdoor facilities, historic buildings, and connection to the Lakes.
Explore a spectacular landscape with sprawling green hills, freshwater environments, and Lakeland fells when you study here. Our compact and friendly campus is just a short walk away from Ambleside town centre and a short bus ride away from iconic towns like Grasmere, Keswick, and Windermere with great restaurants, quirky bars, and the top Lake District attractions.
