Our Open Days provide a warm friendly environment where you can find out more about studying UEL. There’s plenty going during the day to give you a real taste of student life.
Meet our academics and ask the questions you want to know about your chosen course
Our academics are experts in their fields, with many of them engaged in current practice and research, ensuring our students are at the forefront of new developments and industry requirements.
Taster sessions and interactive workshops
We have a full programme of taster sessions running throughout the day. These are a great way to experience what it will be like to study your chosen course.
Meet current students
UEL students will be there on the day to chat about what it’s like to study at UEL. You’ll be able to spot and talk to them by their blue ‘Student Ambassador’ t-shirts.
Take a Campus Tour
A great way to see all the academic facilities at UEL the laboratories, dance studios, creative studios, business induction space, modern lecture theatres, and clinical facilities, sporting facilities and bespoke teaching facilities.
Plus all the spaces that make life at UEL really special from our 24-hour libraries with purpose-built study spaces and computer clusters, stunning waterfront accommodation, Olympic quality sports centre and range of eatieries.
Finance, funding and scholarships
We run talks throughout the day on what funding is available and how to apply. You can also visit our Student Advice team for individual advice on finances.
Welcome talk
Kick-off your day by attending a Welcome Talk, this will give you a good insight as to what’s on offer at UEL. You’ll hear about projects our students are doing all over the world and how they are making a difference in our local community, how we are supporting our students, how we prepare our students with skills and knowledge to help them progress in life once they leave, our accommodation and other first-class facilities, and how you can access our career advice.

Meet our student support team
f you need support along your student journey our Student Services team is there to help. They provide a wide range of information, advice and support from childcare to healthcare, counselling and disability assistance, to chaplaincy.
Sport at UEL
If you’re into playing sport, we have a wide range of clubs offering everything from football, rugby and cricket to dodgeball, rowing and rock climbing. Many of the clubs compete both in local leagues and against other universities. You can tour our, £21 million SportsDock which features an enviable range of indoor and outdoor pitches, courts and facilities, including fitness suites with the latest equipment.

Tutors have strong links with industry and create opportunities for students to increase their employability through work placements, internships, networking events and guest lectures from key people in industry. Many courses offer a placement from year long options to short two week placements.

International Students
Our International Office is dedicated to helping you with anything from travel, to improving your English – before and after you arrive. They will be on-site to answer your questions at each open day. You can also contact them on international@uel.ac.uk
Postgraduate study
We have a number of special events for anyone thinking about Postgraduate study – these take place in the evening at our USS site in Stratford, East London
