Teaching and learning at the University of Northampton is delivered by four Faculties. Each has a varied staff of industry experts and academics, providing courses, producing research outputs and creating partnerships with businesses and the local community. All four Faculties ensure their students graduate with the skills, experience and attitudes that employers are looking for.
Faculty of Health and Society
Our Faculty of Health and Society offers more than just a learning environment for students – the team is focused on improving the health and wellbeing of people living and working across Northamptonshire. Our research aims to address inequalities through innovative interdisciplinary research, education and enterprise to improve the whole population’s health and wellbeing.
We pride ourselves on our emphasis on participation and our interprofessional relationships. Our ability to draw on academic expertise from disciplines as diverse as biochemistry, business, computing, education, human geography, and psychology, as well as those more traditionally related to health and social care, means that we can consider real-world problems holistically.

Producing actively engaged educators and thinkers, our Faculty of Education and Humanities embodies the notion that there is always something new to learn. The Faculty offers up-to-date undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and Continuing Professional Development courses, all taught by highly qualified and industry experienced academics.

The reputation of our Faculty of Business and Law is impressive. Not only is it one of the country’s leading Business educators, it also has deep roots in the community through services such as the /Pro Bono Advice Clinic. Students within the Faculty benefit from academic staff who have commercial and academic industry experience, alongside local knowledge and a global outlook.

Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology
Northampton’s heritage is built, in part, on its days as the shoe-making capital of England, but in recent years the town has gained an international reputation for automotive engineering and high performance technology. The University’s Faculty of Arts, Science and Technology fuses the town’s creative and experimental ethos, by bringing together the arts, creative, engineering and computing disciplines, in a vibrant and stimulating environment.
