Our on-campus open day is packed full of activities, tours and talks - all to help you discover what life at Southampton Solent University is like.
For those looking to study an undergraduate degree, there will be an opportunity to attend a course talk for your chosen course of study. These sessions will give you a chance to meet the course leader and gain an in-depth insight into what you'll be studying. Most of our course talks will run twice throughout the course of the day, allowing you to attend two course talks, if you are still undecided.
Thinking of undertaking a career in maritime? This open day will give you an insight into what a career in the maritime industry has to offer, and the training programmes to qualify as a ship's navigation (deck), engineer or electro-technical officer in the Merchant Navy and on superyachts. Many of the major British shipping companies and recruitment and training companies who recruit cadets will be available to give information about the career opportunities they offer. Our teaching staff are also on hand to talk about the academic side of training.
If you are currently in employment and interested in undertaking an apprenticeship, then our team will be on hand to offer help and guidance and answer any questions you might have about apprenticeships.
If you are looking to apply through Clearing, then our teams will be available offering support and guidance. You will also have the chance to attend a presentation covering everything you need to know about the clearing process.
At our open days, you'll also be able to take a tour of our campus and residences, join a variety of general presentations and speak to our Support Teams about accommodation options, applying and enrolling, student support, funding and much more!
