We will begin the evening with a talk in the lecture theatre giving an overview of college life and introduce the various types of courses available and the different learning styles that match each type of course. We will demystify some of the language of education; A Levels, Extended Diplomas, Technical Diplomas, VTCT, UAL etc to help you to support your child / children to make a positive choice about their next step.
Following this presentation subject staff will be available to talk to you about the courses, additional activities and support available at the college.
The purpose of this introductory event is for you to gather information and spend some time talking to your child about their options. This will mean that when you visit our Open Day on Saturday 19th November 10am-3pm, you will already have some ideas about the courses you are interested in and the whole site will be open for you to tour the campus look at the facilities and talk to the staff in their usual teaching environment.
Be sure to pick up as much information as you can. There will be a lot to take in during the event, so taking some information away with you will make your discussions at home a lot easier. Grab a prospectus before you leave and make notes on your event guide while you talk with members of staff.
