This is where you belong.
The University of Bradford is a campus-based university, and you’ll love the friendly and inclusive community spirit here. There's always something happening on campus, and you’ll have loads of opportunities to explore new interests, learn new skills, and meet new people.
Bradford is one of the largest cities in the UK and was recently named the UK City of Culture 2025. It’s an exciting place to be a student – it’s friendly, diverse and there’s so much to do. Whatever you're into you'll find it here, and there's loads more to discover when you venture beyond the city centre.
Students’ Union, societies, sports
The University of Bradford Union of Students (UBU) is where you’ll find everything you need to compliment your student life. Whether it’s expanding your skills through sports, societies, or volunteering; meeting new friends or enjoying our entertainment; joining with like-minded students in areas of politics; or getting academic or social advice and support.
Every student at the University of Bradford is automatically a member of the Students’ Union. The Union is in Student Central, a state-of-the-art building designed for students, connected to the J.B Priestley library.
The Students’ Union offers more than 60 societies including clubs dedicated to sports, subjects, activities, and countries. The societies are managed by passionate students and offer a great way to find friends with shared interests and enjoy activities and social events. Students are encouraged and supported to form new societies if they feel there is a gap in the current provision.
University isn’t all lectures and seminars. Here at Bradford, we have a range of facilities available on campus. Our Student Central building is home to a range of student support services like the Counselling & Mental Health Service and the Disability Support Service. It also houses RamAir - our own student-run radio station, Bradford Student Cinema, a fully stocked Union shop, bars, entertainment venues, and social spaces. As a student, you’ll have access to a 24/7 library and a multi-faith prayer room.
The University is also home to Unique Fitness, which includes a refurbished gym, a 25-metre swimming pool, a climbing wall and a range of courts and pitches that are available for hire.
